The Remarketing Solutions Title Clerk I performs various processes related to ensuring the timely execution of title work flow to ensure titles are received and delivered to auctions within state service level time frames for off lease and repossessed inventory. The team member will be responsible for completing a wide variety of complex tasks within the department and should possess a working knowledge of multiple Remarketing Title processes as well as, effective ways to resolve complex titles issues. The team member has access to multiple company system applications and is responsible for updating account status. The employee has contact with other departments, branches, dealers, financial institutions, state agencies, and outside vendors. Achieving optimal business results and team objectives in this position directly affects the financial results produced by the company.
In this role, you will:
Responsible for ensuring the timely execution of title work flow to ensure titles are received and delivered to auctions within state service level time frames for GMF and/or GM remarketed inventory
Ensure high quality standards when documenting follow ups and updating systems of record
Partner with vendors, dealers, and cross functional business units to resolve issues delaying the receipt of titles
Collaborate with sales and transport teams to resolve issues that delay the start of the title workflow
Research and resolve ageing, exception, and escalated accounts that delay the sale of the vehicle due to title issues and holds and escalate to leadership when appropriatelevel
Ensure auction title paperwork including title, and supporting documentation is completed and submitted accurately and timely within State and Federal regulations, auto auction guidelines, and or company policies
Assist leadership in carrying out established strategies for achieving company/departmental goals
Make cost effective decisions when shipping documents
Audit assigned auctions daily to ensure title processes are worked in accordance with company policies and procedures
Identify and resolve any issues that delay the start of the title workflow or the receipt of titles at auction in order to reduce any financial impact to the company
Respond to emails received in the asset titles email box within service level
Work with appropriate groups both internal and external to GM Financial to troubleshoot and define alternate working solutions when system defects arise
Ensure title fees are entered into the GM Financial system of record to ensure timely receipt of charges for deficiency balance settlement
What makes you a dream candidate?
Knowledge of lien processes and/or auto finance experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, Outlook
Knowledge of and ability to comply with state and federal guidelines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work and thrive in a team setting
Must be detail oriented
Demonstrate proficient time management ability ensuring work is completed daily
Possess independent decision making capabilities
Proficient in technology systems such as the Remarketing Solutions System, Excel, Word and Outlook, and AutoIMS
Expert critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills
Ability to manage and make financial decisions in relation to the effects of title dispositions and residual value loss
Ability to relate to others, build relationships and constructively interact with a variety of people and situations, both internal and external to the company
Ability to analyze, judge and prioritize work responsibilities
Ability to research complex issues across multiple systems and analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative reports to aid in decision making
Must have a track record of excellent reliability, dependability and ownership skills
Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
0-2 years In a title processing or lien perfection role preferred
