Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and intellectually curious Legal & Governance Associate to
support the day-to-day functioning of an AIFM platform. This is a broad, hands-on role suited to a candidate with a strong legal academic background who has built professional experience in governance, regulatory advisory, legal support, risk, or compliance, ideally within a Big 4, consulting firm, AIFM, ManCo, or financial institution. The successful candidate will combine big-picture thinking with strong execution skills, acting as a key support across legal, regulatory, investor, and operational matters.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and update internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Support board and committee processes, including preparation of materials and minutes.
• Conduct legal and paralegal reviews of agreements, fund documentation, and corporate records.
• Coordinate and respond to investor due diligence requests and support onboarding processes.
• Assist with regulatory monitoring and implementation of Luxembourg and EU requirements.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects, process improvements, and oversight of delegates/service providers.
Profile
• Master’s degree in law (Bar admission not required).
• 5–8 years’ experience in governance, regulatory, legal advisory, risk, or compliance roles.
• Exposure to Luxembourg funds / AIFM environment and Private Equity business is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset, drafting skills, and attention to detail.
• Pragmatic, adaptable “doer” with the ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously.
• Fluent in English, French or additional languages are a plus.
