Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the legal field and possess strong organizational skills to support our legal team effectively.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness
Assist in preparing legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and agreements
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
Manage and organize legal files and documents
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel professionally
Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings for attorneys
Assist in document review processes using iManage or similar software

Experience

Prior experience in legal administrative roles is preferred
Proficiency in document management systems like iManage is a plus
Familiarity with patent law, family law, contract law, or estate planning is advantageous
Strong writing skills to draft legal correspondence and documents
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $24.00 – $24.50 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday
