Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will support the legal and secretarial departments, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, particularly in a listed company environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and comment on a wide range of agreements and contracts, including but not limited to Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), memorandum of agreements, memorandum of understanding, deeds, service agreements, and commercial contracts.
Assist in the preparation of legal documents, letters, and correspondences.
Provide legal support to various departments within the company.
Maintain and organise legal documentation and contract databases.
Ensure compliance with the Companies Act 2016, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements and other regulatory requirements.
Assist in corporate secretarial work, as and when required.
Liaise with external parties such as regulatory bodies, lawyers, auditors and other stakeholders as required.
Monitor updates to relevant laws and regulations and advise management accordingly.
Carry out other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Company from time to time.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
At least 3 years working experience.
Working experience in a corporate secretarial department of a listed company is an added advantage.
Sound understanding of Malaysian corporate and commercial law.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Meticulous, organised, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
Good communication skills, resourceful, disciplined, good interpersonal, and proactive.
High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
