About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our Investments Legal team as a Legal & Document Management Associate. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing document workflows, ensuring compliance, and supporting investment operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain precision in legal documentation, and collaborate across teams to drive efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Document Oversight & Compliance: Review, verify, and facilitate the execution of critical legal and financial documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
Signature & Approval Coordination: Manage the collection and distribution of approvals and executed agreements, ensuring timely processing.
Data Access & Organization: Oversee and coordinate secure access to transaction-related data rooms, working closely with investment teams, legal counsel, and external partners.
External Communications & Liaison Support: Act as a central point of contact for external requests, directing inquiries to the appropriate internal teams for resolution.
Legal Expense Monitoring: Assist in tracking and managing external legal costs, providing analytical insights and reporting to support financial decision-making.
Budgeting & Financial Review: Work alongside investment teams to forecast legal expenses, manage budgets, and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies.
Process Optimization & Documentation: Continuously enhance document control and compliance processes to improve efficiency and security.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in legal, compliance, or financial operations; experience in investment banking or asset management is a plus.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and document management platforms like DocuSign or SimpleLegal.
Organizational & Analytical Abilities: Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills: A team player with strong written and verbal communication skills, able to interact effectively across departments and with external partners.
Confidentiality & Compliance Mindset: Capacity to manage sensitive information with discretion while ensuring compliance with internal policies.
Financial & Legal Acumen: Basic understanding of investment structures, regulatory requirements, and financial markets is preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Finance, Business, Legal Studies, or a related field.
