Responsibilities
- Provide legal support for the Japan and Korea businesses across commercial, employment, competition, anti-corruption, IP, regulatory, and contract matters.
- Partner with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams to enable strategic decision-making while managing legal and compliance risks.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
- Advise on corporate governance, investigations, disputes, and the management of external counsel.
- Deliver legal training and guidance on ethics, compliance, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with regional and global legal teams to share best practices and improve legal operations.
Qualifications
- Qualified to practise law in Japan (Bengoshi qualification required).
- Fluent in Japanese and English.
- Experience providing legal support in a multinational organisation.
- Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, corporate governance, and compliance.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and sound commercial judgement.
