The Legal Director will ensure that all legal services align with the organization’s strategic objectives in real estate. This role involves developing and implementing legal policies, overseeing contract management, and providing legal counsel to various departments. The Legal Director will play a crucial role in enhancing organizational performance through effective legal strategies and frameworks.
Develop and implement policies and processes for legal advisory services .
Real estate, HMA and FIDIC contracts (or similar) knowledge
Develop strategic and operational plans for the legal department
Regularly assess and report on the effectiveness of legal initiatives .
Establish and oversee the use of contract frameworks and templates across various functions .
Develop litigation policies and processes, offering recommendations for continuous improvement .
Lead the litigation process, and managing disputes effectively .
Design a robust legal framework, implementing best practices, methodologies, and principles .
Provide general legal counsel to leadership on matters relating to international contracts, transactions, and regulatory compliance .
Review and advise on contractual arrangements with international stakeholders .
Lead negotiations and review contracts to achieve organizational objectives while minimizing legal exposure .
Work closely with external legal counsel on dispute resolution and litigation matters as needed .
