JS Careers is assisting with the search for a mid-level Lawyer to join a leading financial services company, supporting a range of commercial lending transactions across multiple industry sectors.
The Role
As a Lawyer within the team, you will provide legal advice in relation to lending arrangements for business borrowers, supporting both standardised and bespoke financing transactions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on the structuring of lending transactions
- Reviewing and negotiating agreements
- Drafting legal advice and responding to queries from internal stakeholders
- Working closely with teams across the business including sales, credit, marketing, product, documentation and collections
- Supporting initiatives to grow and scale the lending portfolio
- Assisting with regulatory compliance projects, including investigating and reporting regulatory issues where required
About You
- Must have at least 3 years’ PQE gained in private practice or an in-house environment with experience advising on banking, lending, finance or security arrangements
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- The ability to apply commercial judgement and balance legal risk with business objectives
- A proactive and organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A strong risk awareness mindset and the ability to identify and assess industry-specific risks.
