Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain payments compliance policies, frameworks, and internal standards.
- Provide regulatory structuring support for payments setups, partner models, and fund flows.
- Review and support onboarding of payment partners, including agreement reviews from a compliance perspective.
- Advise on licensing scope, regulatory permissions, and operational constraints for payments activities.
- Work closely with Product, Operations, and Legal to ensure payments initiatives are compliant by design.
- Support standardisation and streamlining of payments compliance processes across entities.
- Coordinate with external counsel and regulators on payments-related regulatory matters where required.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer or compliance professional with legal training, preferably called to the bar in SG, MY, UK, or HK.
- 3–7 years of experience in payments, fintech, EMI/PSP, or financial services compliance or regulatory advisory.
- Strong understanding of payments regulation, fund flows, and licensing frameworks.
- Practical mindset with ability to translate regulatory requirements into workable operating models.
- Experience in multi-jurisdiction environments is a strong plus.
