Adecco Romania is recruiting a Legal Counsel for one of Romania’s largest quick-service restaurant chains company.
Legal Counsel provides legal support to the company, with a focus on commercial lease negotiations, contract management, and GDPR compliance, while minimizing legal risks and supporting business operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Lease Agreements & Real Estate
- Negotiate and draft commercial lease agreements for retail/commercial spaces
- Manage key contractual clauses (rent, term, guarantees, termination)
- Collaborate with Expansion, Technical, and Finance teams for new locations
- Manage relationships with landlords and real estate partners
- Monitor contractual deadlines and risks
2. Commercial Contracts & Corporate Matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (services, suppliers, equipment)
- Provide legal advice on civil and corporate matters
- Support corporate operations and Trade Registry interactions
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks
3. GDPR & Data Protection
- Ensure company compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations
- Draft policies, procedures, and DPIAs
- Review data protection clauses in contracts
- Manage data subject requests and liaise with authorities
- Provide internal guidance on data protection
4. Employment Law
- Provide legal support on employment matters
- Draft employment-related documentation and advise on disciplinary procedures and terminations
5. Regulatory & Authorities
- Ensure compliance with consumer protection regulations
- Manage interactions with authorities and support inspections
- Prepare official responses and legal positions
6. Construction & Urban Planning
- Provide legal support for permitting, urban planning, and development projects
- Support interactions with public authorities
Candidate Profile
- Law degree
- Minimum 5 years’ experience, preferably in retail / real estate / expansion environments
- Strong experience negotiating commercial lease agreements
- Solid knowledge of GDPR and data protection
- Experience drafting and negotiating contracts in Romanian and English
- Strong knowledge of civil and corporate law
- Advanced English
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and drafting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
