What You Will Enjoy Doing
In this position, you will provide legal advice on a variety of legal issues, related primarily to commercial and company law and public tenders
Also, you will conduct legal research in order to advise the business on legal matters, as well as on the legal aspects of general Compliance and data privacy issues
In addition, you will ensure that the practices and policies of the company are applied, taught and are consistent with applicable local laws and regulations
Moreover, you will develop and implement legal strategies and policies that align with the company’s overall business goals and objectives, while you will assess emerging legal risk areas across the company to create action plans and mitigate or eliminate the risks
Additionally, you will draft and review legal documents, such as sales and procurement contracts, and you will manage external counsel acting on litigation (both civil and criminal)
Furthermore, you will work in cross-functional teams (Sales & Marketing, Operations, HR, Procurement etc.), providing high quality timely advice based on updated national and relevant international legal legislation (particularly GDPR and other EU laws)
Lastly, you will provide support to the Cypriot business, as described above; however, legal advice will be given by the local external counsel
What Makes You Great
You will hold a BSc in Law Studies from a Greek University. Master’s degree will be considered a plus
In addition, you will have at least 5 years of working experience in company and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, ideally as an in-house lawyer
Moreover, you will be a fluent English speaker and an experienced user of the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Furthermore, you will demonstrate very good interpersonal and communication skills, time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Additionally, you will be required to be present in the office, as per the Company policy, as well as to work in a matrix structure and collaborate with colleagues internationally
Also, travel on occasion might be required; however, it is more likely to be domestic than international
Lastly, you will have strong sense of ownership, accountability, as well as high integrity and ethical standards
