Legal Counsel position for a well-established and highly credentialled provider of fund services to the Australasian markets.
The role will report into the General Counsel & Company Secretary and work alongside another Lawyer to provide legal advice and support across the whole of business. You will be involved in a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters including the drafting and review of legal documentation and contractual agreements in line with their risk appetite. You will advise and implement change on regulatory matters and assist the compliance team with the review of policies and procedures as well as develop and manage strong relationships with management and external parties. Other duties may include the management of disputes or regulatory actions, training to staff and support on company secretarial matters.
You must have at least 2 – 3 years PQE level of work experience in banking or financial services law with some exposure to managed funds. You can be coming from either a law firm or inhouse environment and in addition you must have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrable ability to engage with people at all levels.
