Position: Legal Counsel (Export Control)

having around 4-7 years’ experience in a legal and compliance role (legal professional preferred).

Job Responsibilities:
Experience Export Control including in the following areas:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all applicable export control regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR).
Draft, implement and manage Technology Control Plans
Create and implement procedures, policies, and systems to ensure compliance with applicable export control regulations.
Monitor changes in applicable regulations and advise management of necessary changes to ensure continued compliance.
Maintain records of export activity and prepare reports for internal and external auditing purposes.
Handle the organizations export compliance training program, including educating employees on export control regulations and best practices.
Maintain the organizations export classification process, including conducting product and technology reviews and making classification determinations.
Analyzing and interpreting global export control laws and sanctions to ensure adherence.
Understanding the applicability and risk of Export Control and Sanction to Infosys’s global operations.
Oversee highly competitive LPM process for client sanctions screening.
Collaborating with cross-functional and cross-regional teams to implement effective compliance strategies.
Support to provide advisory guidance on daily export control issues for all departments
Maintain and update all policies and procedure related to Export Compliance
Maintain all compliance training documents and retention records
Assist as required, to apply for export licenses and rulings, including maintaining logs of all licenses, rulings
Skillset:
Understanding of global trade and sanctions regulations and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with export control classification, license determination, and licensing procedures.
Strong organizational and
project management

Ability to manage/support on review and audit exercises in
collaboration
with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to independently solve moderately complex issues with supervision as appropriate.

Prior experience in Export/Trade Compliance or similar roles
Educational Qualification :
Degree in law or other professional qualifications preferred.
Experience  – 4-7 years’ relevant work experience overall.
