Legal Counsel | Energy & Infrastructure | New York

A leading energy and infrastructure company is seeking a Legal Counsel who has between 3-8 years of legal experience to join its growing legal team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and play a key role supporting large scale infrastructure, transmission, power, and renewable energy projects across the United States.

The position offers broad exposure to project development, project finance, EPC contracting, construction matters, and commercial transactions within a highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate EPC agreements, construction contracts, supply agreements, and other commercial arrangements

• Advise project teams on legal, commercial, and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle

• Support project development, financing, acquisitions, and strategic transactions

• Partner with business, finance, operations, procurement, and engineering teams to provide practical legal advice

• Manage claims, disputes, and contract administration matters

• Assist with regulatory compliance and corporate governance activities

• Coordinate with external counsel on specialist legal matters as required

• Support senior leadership on strategic business initiatives and risk management

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in the United States

• 3 – 8 years of legal experience gained at a law firm and/or in house.

• Strong experience negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements

• Experience within energy, infrastructure, construction, project finance, renewables, utilities, or related industries is highly desirable

• Familiarity with EPC contracts, project development, or construction related matters preferred

• Commercially minded with strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
