Our client has been operating in Australia for over 35 years and has grown to become the leading fit-out and construction services specialist. Their projects cover a vast array of sectors including education, data centres, defence, entertainment & hospitality and health.

The Role
This exciting opportunity is a growth role and will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to work collaboratively with a leading General Counsel on construction and general commercial issues as well as engage with external counsel. You will be given significant responsibility to review and negotiate contracts whilst providing advice to project teams. Moreover, your role will also include delivering training and assisting more junior members of the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a private-practice lawyer to make their first move in-house.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a hard-working, thorough lawyer with between 3-6 years of post-admission experience in construction law. In addition, you will also have:
- Strong attention to detail
- Precise oral and drafting skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and deal with competing priorities
- Ability to efficiently solve problems and work autonomously
