The ideal candidate will be responsible for in-house legal matters including drafting agreements, addressing compliance issues, and participating in negotiation discussions. In order to succeed, this candidate should feel comfortable working with in-house and outside counsels on a variety of legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and review the activities of business units to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
- Provide advice and guidance to other departments within the company on legal regulations and compliance policies, focusing primarily on e-commerce, social networking platforms, and telecommunications services;
- Draft licensing dossiers for the Company’s business lines in accordance with applicable laws and regulations;
- Develop and manage compliance reports, including internal compliance reports and statutory reports submitted to the competent state authorities;
Additional responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the company's legal compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current legal regulations and industry standards;
- Conduct internal assessments and audits to identify potential compliance risks;
- Stay up-to-date with changes in legal regulations and industry standards to ensure the company remains compliant;
- Collaborate with relevant teams (legal, finance, business units,…) to address legal and compliance issues as needed.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience working in legal or compliance, particularly in technology companies or industries related to fintech and e-commerce;
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and address legal and compliance issues in a detailed and precise manner;
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to guide internal departments and work with external stake holders;
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously: Strong time and project management skills.
