Join a leading international commodity trading business and become the legal partner to its trading and operations teams. This role is ideal for a lawyer with 3–7 years’ experience in a commodity trading environment who enjoys working close to the business and handling both day-to-day trading support and complex disputes.
What You’ll Do
- Advise traders and operators on international commodity trading transactions.
- Draft and negotiate trading, shipping and logistics contracts.
- Manage disputes, arbitrations and claims (GAFTA, FOSFA, LCIA, charterparties, cargo claims, etc.).
- Support the business on broader legal matters including corporate, compliance and commercial projects.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across the global trading organisation.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–7 years of legal experience gained in-house at a commodity trading company or advising commodity trading clients in private practice.
- Strong knowledge of commodity trading, maritime/shipping law and international trade contracts.
- Hands-on experience with disputes, arbitrations and claims management.
- Commercial mindset with the confidence to work directly with traders and business leaders.
- Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
