Legal Counsel – Commercial & Regulatory (Fintech)
Our client is a global payments organisation that is rapidly expanding. This role will focus on commercial, corporate and regulatory legal matters across multiple markets, while supporting the company through an exciting new phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, including customer, vendor and partnership agreements.
- Provide practical legal advice to business teams on day-to-day commercial and regulatory matters.
- Support product launches, market expansion initiatives and strategic partnerships from a legal and regulatory perspective.
- Advise on payments, financial services and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Work closely with Compliance, Risk and business teams to manage legal and regulatory risks.
- Support corporate governance matters, internal policies and legal documentation.
- Manage external legal counsel where required.
- Monitor regulatory developments and provide practical guidance on their impact to the business.
Key Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 3+ years post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Experience in fintech, payments, banking, financial services or a leading law firm.
- Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of payments and financial services regulations.
- Exposure to regulatory licensing, product advisory or cross-border legal matters would be advantageous.
- Commercially minded with strong business partnering skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Singapore citizen or PR only.
