We are looking for a Legal Counsel who combines strong legal expertise, sound commercial judgment, and a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach to support our business in a dynamic and regulated fintech environment.

Working closely with our Sales, Risk, Product, Compliance and Client Service teams, you will provide clear, actionable legal advice across a broad range of matters, helping LUXHUB navigate legal and regulatory requirements while enabling growth and innovation.

You will also contribute to the development and maintenance of our legal framework, including reviewing and negotiating agreements, supporting regulatory and governance initiatives, and ensuring that legal considerations are appropriately embedded in business processes and projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice to a broad range of legal, contractual and regulatory matters

  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide range of agreements

  • Advise management on applicable laws, regulations and regulatory expectations relevant to LUXHUB’s activities, products and services

  • Partner closely with Compliance, Risk, Product, Sales and Client Service to support them with legal matters

  • Contribute to the development, review, and maintenance of legal policies, procedures, templates, and standard contractual documentation

  • Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and proactively assess their potential impact on the business

  • Promote a proactive and business-oriented legal culture, helping stakeholders understand and manage legal and regulatory risks effectively

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Legal department, including processes and knowledge management

  • Work alongside the Chief Compliance Officer and report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (who used to be a lawyer)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in law

  • 2-5 years of relevant legal experience, gained in a law firm and/or in-house legal position

  • Experience in Luxembourg financial ecosystem highly desirable

  • Knowledge or experience in data protection and privacy law would be considered an advantage

  • Strong experience in commercial contracting, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of agreements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and sound legal judgement

  • Business minded, with the ability to balance legal and regulatory considerations with practical business objectives

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent written and spoken English, proficiency in French

  • Demonstrated ability to learn fast and develop expertise in new regulatory frameworks and technological domains.
