Join Dentons Canada’s Office of the General Counsel as a Legal Counsel in a hybrid role for 15 months. Provide essential legal advice across various business functions while supporting privacy initiatives and compliance programs.

This temporary position seeks a licensed lawyer with over four years of experience. You will work alongside teams on privacy matters, negotiate commercial agreements, and assist in regulatory compliance. Responsibilities also include advising on insurance, governance, and special projects involving legal technology and AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support enterprise privacy program and provide legal guidance

• Negotiate and review commercial agreements with external suppliers

• Advise on professional and regulatory obligations associated with the firm

• Work with leadership on projects related to legal technology

• Identify risks and provide recommendations to management

Requirements:

• Must be a licensed lawyer in good standing with 4+ years of experience

• Understanding of privacy laws and commercial agreements

• Professional certifications such as CIPP/C or CIPP/E preferred

• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills

• Bilingual in English and French is an asset
