We have an exciting opportunity as a Legal Counsel to join our team as we grow our UK business.
Area/Department Description
We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our global team in the Corporate Department, supporting our businesses.
Your mission
Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters related to the renewable energy sector.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including supplier agreements, partnerships, and financing arrangements.
Ensure compliance with UK and EU energy regulations, data protection laws, and corporate governance requirements.
Support transactions, acquisitions, and new business ventures by assessing legal risks and structuring deals.
Liaise with external legal advisors and regulatory bodies when necessary.
Assist in dispute resolution and claims management.
Develop internal policies and procedures to align with legal best practices.
Your profile
Qualified solicitor in the UK with experience in corporate/commercial law and Real estate.
5+ years of experience in an in-house legal role or a top-tier law firm, preferably with exposure to the energy or infrastructure sector.
Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks, particularly in renewable energy and environmental law.
Excellent negotiation and contract drafting skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
