Legal Counsel Jobs in Atlanta, GA at ABB
Secretary sought to provide high quality and efficient professional support to an attorney. Full time employees are eligible for paid time off and benefits.
Responsibilities include:
Ability to produce accurate and properly formatted legal pleadings, discovery, orders and judgments, and to follow up on court filings under attorney supervision.
Schedules and manages appointments, including meetings, conferences, court dates.
Reviews, prioritizes files and routes incoming mail.
Arranges for documents to be served by court or process servers.
Communicates with court clerks, clients, opposing counsel and other external contacts as needed or directed.
Maintains current and orderly files according to Firm practices. Answers telephone calls. Provides relevant and timely information to clients and other Firm staff in a professional, courteous and effective.
Requirements include:
Excellent organization, interpersonal and communications skills.
Excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in various stages of processing or completion and meet all prescribed deadlines for each.
Two – three (2-3) years of experience working in a general civil litigation law practice.Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to learn new software.
Familiarity with Federal and State electronic filing a court rules a plus.
High School Diploma/GED required; Associates Degree preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.74 – $25.00 per hour
