Beacon Legal has partnered with a leading property development corporation in the search for a Legal Counsel to join the Parramatta office. This opportunity would suit a lawyer with around 3-6 years’ experience who is looking to step into a broad and commercially significant role.

We’re seeking a commercially minded and proactive property lawyer to join a high-performing legal team. This role offers exposure to large-scale property development projects, capital transactions, procurement and governance matters, and the chance to work closely with a business focused on delivering affordable and sustainable communities across NSW. The legal team is highly regarded, collaborative and closely embedded within the business, and built up of excellent lawyers.

About the Role

  • Lead, negotiate and review a broad range of commercial, procurement and property-related agreements.
  • Advise on legal, governance and regulatory issues across development and operational matters.
  • Support stakeholders across acquisitions, disposals, due diligence and project delivery.
  • Assist with structuring transactions to achieve commercial outcomes while managing legal risk.
  • Manage external counsel and advisors where required.
  • Contribute to governance, compliance and process improvement initiatives across the business.

What we’re looking for

  • Admitted to practise in Australia.
  • Around 3-6 years’ experience in real estate and/or construction law, gained in private practice or in-house.
  • Experience or exposure to large-scale property development, capital transactions or infrastructure/projects work.
  • Strong technical, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach.
  • Excellent communication, drafting and problem-solving ability.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
