Prosegur Change Group is looking for a Legal Counsel to join its global Legal Department in Madrid.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with strong commercial awareness and international ambition who wants to develop their career in a multinational environment, working closely with senior management and supporting both the Group's strategic initiatives and one of its fastest-growing international businesses, ChangeGroup.
What will be your mission?
You will join the Global Legal Department of Change Group, Prosegur Cash's international foreign exchange and financial services business, providing legal support across the business.
Approximately 65% of your work will be dedicated to supporting ChangeGroup's international operations, while the remaining 35% will focus on strategic legal matters affecting Prosegur Cash at a global level. The role offers broad exposure to commercial, corporate, regulatory and strategic legal work across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with business teams and senior management.
This position is ideal for a lawyer who combines strong technical skills with commercial judgement, enjoys working in an international environment and is looking for a role with significant responsibility, continuous learning and long-term career development.
What will be your main responsibilities?
Commercial & Business Support
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including concession agreements, lease agreements and strategic commercial contracts.
- Provide day-to-day legal support to international business teams across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support new business initiatives, product launches and commercial projects.
- Coordinate and manage external legal advisers in different countries.
Corporate Governance
- Support corporate governance matters across the Group, including the preparation of board and shareholder resolutions, powers of attorney and other corporate documentation.
- Assist with corporate governance requirements applicable to a listed company and its international subsidiaries.
Regulatory
- Support licensing processes and ongoing regulatory obligations across different jurisdictions.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the business, including financial services regulation and other relevant international regulatory frameworks.
- Assist the business in implementing regulatory requirements in a practical and commercially focused manner.
Strategic Projects
- Participate in strategic Group projects, business transformation initiatives, partnerships and market expansion opportunities.
- Provide legal support for new products, international growth initiatives and cross-border projects.
- Collaborate closely with business teams to deliver practical legal solutions aligned with commercial objectives.
What are we looking for?
- Qualified lawyer in a European jurisdiction.
- At least 4 years of professional experience gained in a reputable law firm and/or an international in-house legal department.
- Solid experience in commercial contracts and corporate law.
- Exposure to financial services regulation or regulatory matters will be considered an advantage.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
- Other skills: strong commercial awareness and business-oriented mindset; Proactive, pragmatic and hands-on approach; Excellent analytical skills and sound legal judgement; Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced international environment; Curious, adaptable and eager to take ownership and continue developing professionally.
