vdf is looking for a “Legal Counsel” that you may find the details below:
Purpose of the position is to provide legal services across all group companies as part of the legal team. The role will focus on supporting the work deriving from the business units and so shall have a particular emphasis on management.
Responsibilities:
- Work with legal team to provide effective management (i.e. drafting, negotiation and interpretation) of all contracts across the range of the company’s activities.
- Develop and understand risk mitigation strategies for contractual risks.
- Develop internal templates, guidelines and toolkits of a wide variety of business and legal issues.
- Participate in the development and achievement of the team’s service levels across the group companies.
- Provide legal advisory regarding finance law, information technologies law, labor law, personal data protection law, consumer law, contract management,.
- Manage and follow up corporate processes i.e the appointment and resignation of the Board of Directors, organize ordinary and extraordinary general assembly meetings, capital increase-decrease, prepare board of directors’ resolutions, notification letters for official legal authorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) and active membership in a Turkish Bar Association
- 5+ years of experience either in banking or financial services industry,
- Proficiency in written and spoken English,
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, reporting, analytical and proactive problem solving, follow-up on multi tasking skills.
