About the role
We are looking for a Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive, business-oriented legal support to Pepco Ukraine.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders, supporting lease negotiations, real estate operations, store expansion, commercial contracts, and compliance matters, while ensuring full alignment with Ukrainian legislation and minimizing legal risks.
Responsibilities
🔹 Prepare, review and negotiate lease agreements (new leases, renewals, relocations, amendments and terminations)
🔹 Analyze key contract terms, identify risks and escalate non-standard clauses
🔹 Conduct legal due diligence on properties (ownership, zoning, legal compliance, landlord verification)
🔹 Support and review commercial agreements, marketing activities and promotional campaigns
🔹 Manage disputes and claims, including cooperation with external legal advisors
🔹 Oversee litigation cases and ensure alignment with business strategy
🔹 Ensure compliance with company policies, corporate governance and applicable laws
🔹 Prepare and review corporate documents (resolutions, powers of attorney, etc.)
🔹 Maintain accurate documentation and proper archiving of legal records
🔹 Provide post-contract support and resolve operational and commercial issues
🔹 Develop legal templates, playbooks and negotiation guidelines
🔹 Cooperate with Group Legal to ensure alignment with Group standards
🔹 Provide legal advice to internal teams (Expansion, Property, HR)
🔹 Support business decisions through practical legal recommendations
