POSITION OBJECTIVE

  • This role will work with the Mexico’s legal department to provide high quality legal

support to BRP’s legal entities worldwide mainly in the labor, corporate and

commercial law. The role will involve providing essential legal support and day-to-

day advice across the operations in Mexico and LATAM.

Lead Responsibilities

  • Structuring, drafting, reviewing and analyzing agreements, contracts and other legal documents
  • Give accurate and timely counsel
  • Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies
  • Responding to external/internal comments while ensuring required legal terms are reflected in a contract
  • Collaborating with peers and leaders in legal, HR and purchase departments to ensure project and deal outcomes align with proprieties
  • Understanding and staying current with industry trends and the legal and regulatory landscape of the business
  • Monitoring and assisting in revising and updating standard agreements,templates and tools for our internal business partners
  • Research and evaluate different risk factors
  • Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation
  • Supporting other commercial practice areas within BRP as the need may arise since BRP is constantly evolving

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Master’s preferred in areas related to corporate law
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to translate legal concepts into practical, actionable advice
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge of civil, mercantile and labor Mexican legislation
  • Experience drafting and reviewing contracts
  • Experience providing labor counseling
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple work assignments
  • under tight timeframes

Language

  • Fluent in Spanish written and verbal.
  • English advanced (Min. 80%) written specially
  • French or german is an advantage.
