Aquis Search has partnered with a global manufacturing giant in their search for a Legal Counsel (APAC) to join its regional legal team based in Gurgaon.
This role supports multiple business verticals across India, South Asia, and parts of the Middle East and Africa — offering the perfect platform for high-impact legal work in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
About the Role:
As Legal Counsel, you’ll handle a broad range of commercial, compliance, employment, and regulatory matters, while playing a pivotal role in shaping internal controls and legal frameworks for operations across the region.
What You’ll Do:
Draft and negotiate commercial contracts (sales, procurement, distribution, licensing, etc.)
Support labor and employment matters across jurisdictions with large workforce presence
Manage regulatory compliance, litigation, dispute resolution, and competition law matters
Lead or support compliance investigations (internal and external)
Help design, implement, and conduct ethics and compliance training programs
Review and strengthen internal SOPs, policies, and governance processes
What We’re Looking For:
Law degree from a reputed institution
8–12 years’ experience, including time at a law firm and in-house at a multinational
Strong commercial contracts and general corporate legal experience
Exposure to labor law, compliance, antitrust, and international regulatory frameworks
Skilled communicator with the ability to simplify legal issues for business teams
Proactive, collaborative, and pragmatic mindset — thrives in matrix setups
