Responsibilities
Give accurate and timely counsel to the Chief Legal Officer in a variety of commercial topics (Digital Services Act, Audio-visual Media Services Directive, Online Safety Act, DAC7, GDPR, labor law, corporate law etc.);
Taking the lead in negotiating contract and advising on a wide variety of commercial contracts including payment service provider agreements, NDAs and marketing agreements;
Assisting with international compliance and regulatory issues;
Collaborating with external legal counsel on jurisdiction-specific matters, including litigation, enforcement and license applications;
Researching and evaluating different risk to the business and its operations;
Contributing to training the team and other stakeholders and to build up legal know-how within the business;
Contributing to the brand protection tasks of the company.
Requirements
Possession of a Law degree (LLB is required; LLM would be considered an advantage), preferably obtained from a UK university;
Admitted Attorney to the Bar of the State of origin;
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Legal Counsel within an international business environment of IT industry or related.
In-depth knowledge and strong understanding of corporate law, regulations, and procedures;
Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Russian would be an additional asset;
Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with excellent organisational skills;
A proactive approach with the ability to assume early responsibility and take the lead on relevant matters;
A high level of professional ethics, integrity, and discretion;
Strong analytical skills with sound judgement and the ability to evaluate complex situations and information effectively.
