We are a leading housing disrepair legal firm looking for a skilled Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with litigated experience in housing disrepair cases, seeking to further develop their career in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee litigated housing disrepair claims from inception to resolution
Draft legal documents including claims, allocations, and other necessary correspondence
Provide expert legal advice and support to clients throughout the litigation process
Work closely with clients, experts, and external parties to ensure smooth case progression
Represent clients in hearings, trials, and pre-trial discussions
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, while managing risks and advising on the best course of action
Essential Skills & Experience:
Essential – Litigation experience / preferably in HDR
Must be a qualified solicitor or barrister
Excellent drafting skills, particularly in the preparation of claims and allocation documents
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex legal cases
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
