Responsibilities
Establishment and Optimization of Legal Systems
Lead the development and refinement of legal systems, responsibilities, and processes for the Group’s international operations, including in China, Vietnam, Denmark, the US, and Singapore.
Provide professional legal advice on international legal matters.
Management of International Legal Affairs
Managing various civil and commercial contracts.
Identifying and updating relevant laws and regulations.
Conducting legal consultations, legal training, intellectual property management, and compliance management, with a focus on export sanctions and economic controls.
Provide legal feasibility and compliance analyses for business models and frameworks, including risk assessment and mitigation.
Establish legal compliance frameworks and databases for key countries.
Analyse laws in designated countries to assess compliance risks and ensure alignment with the Group’s business objectives.
Offer professional legal advice on corporate organizational structures to ensure compliance and support long-term business growth.
Coordination with External Legal Advisors
Manage external legal consultants for international legal services, including investment, financing, and dispute resolution.
On-Site Legal Support
Collaborate with headquarters or designated management teams to provide on-site legal support for negotiations, project reviews, and legal recommendations.
Qualifications
Educational Background
Bachelor degree or higher in Law from an accredited full-time university or institution.
Professional Experience
A minimum of 5 years of legal experience in multinational corporations within the manufacturing industry.
Strong familiarity with Singapore’s corporate legal framework and regulations.
Demonstrated expertise in Southeast Asian and Western legal practices, particularly in establishing legal frameworks for multinational enterprises.
Language Skills
Exceptional proficiency in English, with advanced skills in communication, negotiation, and drafting of legal documents.
Proficiency in Chinese is required to communicate effectively with stakeholders from headquarters in China and review Mandarin-language documents.
