The Contract Specialist is responsible for drafting and reviewing agreements including customer sales contracts, contract amendments, supplier purchase and sale agreements, confidentiality and consultant agreements, as well as responding to customer request for proposals (RFPs). This role works closely with company sales, service and sourcing teams as well as customers, business managers and attorneys.

Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management
Draft and review/edit documents including customer sales contracts, amendments, NDAs, contract renewals and expansions, and customer reorganizations for legal review
Manage contract clause libraries and contract databases
Small Business Management
Generate Small Business Plans
Manage subcontract procurement
Support Sales Department & Cost-Estimating with small business subcontracting plans
Direct all phases of subcontract from business case initiation through proposal requests, management plans, and negotiation strategy
Act as Small Business Liaison
Develop and maintain Small Business Administration Vendor Listing
Ensure compliance with all government regulations
Supplier Management
Support selection of qualified suppliers and manufacturers
Develop supply sources for high-value, long lead time, critical parts, equipment, materials, and services
Lead selection and negotiation for unique or customer-sensitive subcontracts
Evaluate supplier proposals/quotations and negotiate optimal prices and terms
Prepare and conduct market surveys for subcontractor selection
Assemble pre-award documentation for anticipated subcontracts
Compliance and Administration
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements
Monitor and enforce adherence to requirements
Advise management on needed actions
Follow Government/Commercial Practices Manual (GPM/CPM) policies and procedures
Administer subcontracts by interpreting and implementing terms, conditions, and provisions
Develop and administer subcontractor reporting procedures for FAR/DFAR compliance
Monitor subcontractor/supplier performance for contractual compliance
Required Qualifications
College degree OR Associates degree with 6 years work experience
Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in a fast-paced environment
Fluency in English
