Successful applicants will have:
A minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience at a top tier law firm, ideally with some in-house exposure either directly or via secondment
Excellent academic credentials;
A practicing certificate (or equivalent) which entitles them to practice as a lawyer
A consultant mindset – be resilient, open to experiencing new challenges and environments, and be excited to develop their skill set and brand within the consultancy field
The commitment and willingness to work on-site in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, to suit client requirements (although hybrid working patterns can be discussed)

In-house with one of our clients – this could mean working with a client either virtually or locally to support a project, regulatory reform, or transactional work during periods of absence. Assignments can range from three to twelve months in duration and will vary in the A&O Shearman UAE practice to support a specific client or the practice generally during peak volumes.
We have consultants who step into the team on an ad hoc basis and those who work regularly to support the Practice.
