Role overview
This role supports a grant due diligence process for a US philanthropic fund, involving the review of grant applications and supporting materials to assess eligibility, risk, and compliance considerations. Outputs are delivered in structured, client-ready reports.
Key responsibilities
• Review grant applications and supporting documentation (including organisational information, financials, and supporting materials)
• Assess eligibility, identify potential risks (including legal, regulatory, and reputational), and flag any areas requiring further scrutiny
• Apply defined review criteria and guidance to ensure consistency across all outputs
• Produce clear, structured Word-based reports aligned to the required format and standards
• Incorporate QC feedback and iterate on outputs where required
• Manage assigned reviews in line with agreed SLAs (typically 5 working days)
• Escalate complex, high-risk, or out-of-scope issues to QC in a timely manner
Skills required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written communication, with the ability to produce clear, structured, and concise outputs
• High attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to apply judgement within a defined framework
• Strong time management and ability to work to deadlines
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving guidance
Experience required
• >6 PQE (or equivalent relevant experience)
• Background in corporate, commercial, regulatory, or advisory work
• Experience reviewing and synthesising complex documentation
• Experience producing written outputs (e.g. reports, memos, advisory notes)
• Exposure to due diligence, compliance, risk assessment, or similar analytical work is beneficial
