Legal & Compliance Specialist
Responsibilities of the role:
- Provide legal support to the management team and business departments on routine legal matters;
- Provide advice to the business teams on the applicable legal and regulatory framework in the relevant markets;
- Provide regulatory compliance including liaise with regulatory bodies and government authorities as required;
- Propose business oriented business-oriented solutions;
- Assist in the preparation, review, and administration of contracts and agreements with third parties;
- Support the monitoring of contract execution and ensure documentation is properly maintained;
- Assist in identifying potential legal risks and escalate issues to senior legal staff when necessary;
- Participate in ensuring company activities comply with applicable laws and regulations;
- Support procedures related to obtaining licenses, certificates, and permits required for business operations;
- Provide basic legal guidance to internal departments under the supervision of senior legal staff;
- Assisting in research and analysis of EU and national legislations in the field of Transport & Logistics;
- Prepare and organize legal documentation for submission to public authorities, institutions, and courts;
- Ensure the ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of internal company registers;
- Assist in coordinating with external legal advisors when required;
- Maintain legal records, contract databases, and compliance documentation;
- Contributing to the development of standard internal templates, legal procedures, and processes;
- Report to the Legal & Compliance Manager.
Requirements for the role:
- 3-5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate or law firm environment;
- Degree in Law;
- Basic knowledge of commercial law and contract law;
- Understanding labor and employment legislation is considered an advantage;
- Good analytical and organizational skills;
- Strong attention to detail
- Be commercially minded and pro-active, highly goal driven;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong analytical skills, can multi-task and address issues in a flexible and creative manner;
- Ability to work collaboratively with different business departments;
- Proficiency in English (knowledge of Western European or UK legal frameworks is a plus), other foreign language skills will be considered as a significant advantage;
