About the role
OBOR Advisory advises clients on high-stakes decisions — investments, transformations, and cross-border deals. We are hiring a Legal & Compliance Officer to keep that work sound, compliant, and well-governed, working directly with our senior team across the group’s advisory and investment activities.
Responsibilities
• Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts, NDAs and corporate agreements across advisory and investment activities
• Own regulatory and compliance monitoring — corporate governance, SERC / regulated-entity requirements, and KYC/AML where relevant
• Manage corporate secretarial matters: filings, resolutions, licences and statutory records for the group’s Cambodian entities
• Identify legal and regulatory risk on live mandates and advise the team in plain, practical terms
• Liaise with external counsel, regulators and authorities when needed
Qualifications
• 5+ years of legal / compliance experience, ideally with exposure to a regulated entity (financial services, investment, or professional services)
• Law degree; membership of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia is an advantage
• Strong command of Cambodian corporate, commercial and labour law
• Sharp drafting, sound judgment, and the discipline to work to an international quality bar
• Fluent Khmer and professional English; French is a plus
