We are looking for a Legal & Compliance Manager (Contract-based, with potential to be converted to full-time) to join our Legal team as the primary legal partner for our Indonesia business. This is a high-impact in-house role for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working closely with business leaders, navigating complex legal issues, and contributing to strategic decision-making across a fast-growing regional organization.
You will work alongside stakeholders across business, operations, finance, people, and leadership teams, providing practical legal guidance that enables growth while managing risk. In addition to supporting Indonesia operations, you will have opportunities to contribute to regional legal initiatives and cross-border matters across Southeast Asia.
What You'll Be Doing
- Serve as the trusted legal advisor and primary legal point of contact for business, operational, and corporate stakeholders in Indonesia
- Partner with business teams to identify legal risks, provide practical solutions, and support commercial objectives in a fast-paced environment
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements, including customer, vendor, partnership, technology, and service arrangements
- Support regional commercial transactions and cross-border projects involving multiple jurisdictions across Southeast Asia
- Advise on a variety of legal and regulatory matters impacting the business, including corporate, commercial, compliance, employment, data privacy, intellectual property, and operational matters
- Oversee corporate governance and entity-level compliance matters, including statutory filings, regulatory reporting, corporate secretarial matters, and coordination with external advisors where required
- Support corporate restructuring, strategic initiatives, and other corporate transactions from time to time
- Manage and protect the Glints intellectual property portfolio, including trademark registrations, renewals, enforcement, and related initiatives
- Collaborate with external counsel, regulatory authorities, and professional advisors on legal, compliance, and dispute-related matters
- Drive legal operations and process improvement initiatives, including contracting efficiencies, risk management frameworks, and scalable legal support models
- Contribute to the development of policies, governance frameworks, and compliance programs that support sustainable business growth
Who We Are Looking For
- Law degree required; Indonesian bar qualification strongly preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal role
- Strong understanding of Indonesian employment, corporate, commercial, and regulatory frameworks with the ability to provide practical advice on day-to-day business and operational matters
- Strong experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts
- Comfortable working independently while partnering closely with business stakeholders and senior management
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and spoken in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Experience supporting regional businesses, cross-border transactions, or multi-jurisdictional legal matters would be a strong advantage
