Position: Litigation Associate
Location: Miami, Florida
Employment Type: Full-Time
Admittance to the Florida Bar is required.
Position Overview:
Our law firm client is seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join our team in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of litigation experience and a strong background in handling complex commercial and civil litigation matters. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, representing clients in a variety of disputes across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and mediations.
Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and memoranda.
Develop case strategies and advise clients on legal risks and options.
Attend hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex legal matters.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Florida Bar (required).
2-6 years of litigation experience in commercial, business, or civil litigation.
Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
Excellent verbal communication and advocacy skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
Experience handling depositions, motions, and court appearances is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Federal and state court litigation experience.
Prior experience in complex business disputes, contract litigation, or employment litigation.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to work independently.
