Intent of the process
This process is being used to staff current and future vacancies. A list of qualified and/or partially qualified candidates will be established from this process to staff positions in Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, with varying tenures and/or security requirements according to the position to be staffed.

Successful applicants are required to work in Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, depending on the location of the position being staffed. Telework or alternate work locations will not be an option. Persons selected for appointments must reside within a commutable distance of the workplace.

Operational Requirements
– Ability and willingness to work outside normal working hours which may include working evenings and weekends based on operational needs.
– Requirement to work in office in the location of work of the position being staffed, in accordance with Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat Direction on Prescribed Presence in the Workplace.

– Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
AS-01 only:
– Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in a law related field (already obtained OR obtained before appointment) or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.

Experience:
CR-04 and AS-01:
– Experience working with an electronic information management system (such as PRISM, JOIN, iCase, GC Docs, SharePoint, etc.).CR-04 only:
– Experience providing legal or administrative office support.
AS-01 only:
– Experience providing legal assistance in a legal office, court or tribunal.
