Dependable and energetic attorney wanted for growing immigration law firm in Houston, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a hard-working individual to join a team of professionals dedicated to assisting all people, including the immigrant community, and to changing peoples’ lives. Staff here becomes family in our fast-paced, but fun environment!
This is a permanent position with the possibility of tremendous growth. Experience is preferred, but training is provided. Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with some Saturdays. Temporary or part-time applicants will not be considered.
Compensation is dependent upon applicant’s experience & qualifications.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Bilingual – Fluent in English and Spanish preferred, but will consider other candidates
Must be computer savvy
Must be organized, disciplined, and pay strict attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills are essential
Must be able to effectively manage a full case load, and prioritize casework along with other assigned tasks
Must be willing to listen to and accept feedback, instruction and constructive criticism in a non-defensive manner
JOB DUTIES
Representation before the Immigration Court for removal defense cases
Representation before the DoS, USCIS, ICE.
Representation before various courts and appellate bodies
Case management
Consultation management
Work with other licensed attorneys on other matters
Some travel as is necessary
Other work as is necessary to adequately represent the firms’ clients
