We are currently seeking an experienced Texas-based Criminal Defense Attorney to join our team as Of Counsel on a contract basis. This 1099 position is ideal for a highly motivated attorney with a strong courtroom presence and a passion for defending clients in complex criminal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle assigned criminal cases from pre-trial through resolution.
Provide in-person hearing and docket coverage the Dallas-Forth Worth area.
Prepare for and conduct jury trials as needed.
Draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda to support case strategy.
Collaborate with our internal team to ensure high-quality representation.
Qualifications:
Licensed to practice law in Texas.
Minimum of 5 years of criminal defense experience.
Proven jury trial experience is required.
Strong knowledge of Texas criminal statutes, procedure, and local court practices.
Ability to travel within your assigned area for hearings and court appearances.
