Job Overview

The Business Development Lawyer will be responsible for providing expert legal guidance on a variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, and related matters. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate and commercial law and the ability to navigate complex legal issues while meeting business needs and ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant regulations.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to corporate transactions.

Advise management on legal implications of corporate strategies and transactions in a practical and efficient manner.

Conduct legal research and analysis to support corporate initiatives.

Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and regulations.

Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations.

Assist in the formation and dissolution of corporate entities.

Stay updated on changes in corporate law and regulations that may affect the organization.

Education and Experience

A law degree and admission to practice in France. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in corporate law, within a corporate legal department or law firm specializing in corporate matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Significant experience in negotiating and drafting for top global corporations, particularly in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, investment transactions, and general corporate governance.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.

Proficient in spoken and written communication in English and French language.
