We are looking for a Junior Lawyer / Attorney-at-law Trainee to join a highly specialized team focusing on tax authority procedures, tax litigation, white-collar crime and VAT advisory.
This role offers exposure to complex, high-level matters and close involvement in full-scope legal advisory work from an early stage.
The role
As part of a dedicated tax controversy and white-collar crime team, your responsibilities will include:
- Active participation in tax authority proceedings and tax litigation.
- Drafting detailed professional submissions, appeals, statements of claim and other complex legal documents.
- Involvement in white-collar crime-related cases.
- Supporting VAT advisory work, including preparing legal analyses and summaries.
- Conducting legal research and contributing to case strategy.
- Participating in client meetings.
- Managing client communication in Hungarian and English.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate:
- Is an attorney-at-law trainee approaching the bar exam, ideally with around 1 year of relevant experience.
- Has strong analytical, logical and legal drafting skills.
- Has a clear interest in tax procedures, tax litigation, white-collar crime and VAT advisory.
- Enjoys thorough, detail-oriented professional work.
- Holds a law degree.
- Has experience in client handling and client communication.
- Is comfortable working independently and managing client relationships.
- Is confident using English in a legal professional environment.
- Is eager to build on existing tax law knowledge while remaining open to learning related areas of law.
