Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Associate (Eurasia) to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive legal support to our corporate office and subsidiaries across Europe and Asia. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate law, cross-border transactions, regulatory compliance, and the ability to navigate the complexities of international business operations across multiple jurisdictions.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform and support contractual reviews across departments, including agreements on goods distribution and supply, credit facilities, services provision, licensing, employment, and corporate guarantees.
Oversee legal aspects of subsidiary governance, ensuring regulatory compliance in various jurisdictions and adherence to internal policies.
Prepare, draft, and maintain corporate documents such as shareholder resolutions, board resolutions, meeting minutes, and notices, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Research and advise on cross-border legal issues, including tax implications, labor laws, and intellectual property, across different legal frameworks.
Provide accurate, timely legal advice on various topics related to business operations; guide managers and ensure regulatory compliance.
Work closely with finance, HR, and other departments to balance minimizing legal risk with supporting strategic objectives.
Offer legal support for investment and acquisition projects as needed.
Ensure business operations align with internal policies.
Provide the business with clear guidance on legal language, specifications, and contractual obligations.
Collaborate with external legal counsels and local business units in the region to manage ongoing or potential disputes.
Handle various legal matters related to employment and other applicable regional laws across Eurasia.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Law.
Minimum of five years of experience, with exposure to cross-border legal matters; some experience in a law firm is preferred, with in-house legal experience as a plus.
Fluency in English, and Russian is a must.
EU citizenship is required.
