Title: Paralegal and Legal Assistants
Location: 1 State street, New York NY 10004(onsite)
Duration: 2 years contract
Minimum Candidate Qualifications:
The candidate must have a minimum of:
a. Bachelor’s Degree
b. Paralegal Certificate
c. Eligible to work in New York State
Job Description and Required Services:
-Conduct legal and insurance research for the Life Bureau Deputy Superintendent, Assistant Deputy Superintendents, and Life Bureau senior staff as needed.
-Assist with drafting materials (ex. Consent Orders, Stipulations) under supervision of Deputy Superintendent or senior staff.
-Review and summarize industry and regulatory reports, including National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) materials.
-Review draft examination reports and memorandums.
-Review and summarize proposed and final legislative materials.
-Assist with Segregated Gift Annuity Fund licensing, including maintaining records of required applicant materials submitted and retention of documents.
-Assist Segregated Gift Annuity Fund attorneys and actuaries in their respective roles.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
