Job Description
McCollom D’Emilio Smith Uebler LLC is seeking a Legal Assistant with 3+ years of experience in Trust & Estate Administration to join its team.
The position entails performing a wide range of complex Trust & Estate administration functions requiring knowledge of estates, trusts, estate planning as well as a general understanding of DE probate and tax laws.
Job duties include:
Create valuation reports for securities using valuation software.
Assist with sale and transfer of assets, including real estate.
Prepare various filings and prepare attorney for court proceedings.
Maintain and balance Estate & Trust checkbooks.
Prepare Receipts and Releases in connection with distributions from an estate or trust.
Prepare Federal and Delaware estate tax returns.
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal in Estate Planning and Administration
Experience interacting with clients, courts, and multiple companies.
Excellent writer with exceptional organizational skills, time management, and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong research and fact checking skills.
Advanced MS Office skills
Knowledge of Estate Management Software
