Litigation Legal Assistant
Location:
Tacoma, WA. Hybrid (3 days in office)
Compensation: $70,000 – $85,000 annually ($38.46 – $43.96/hour)
Schedule:
35‑hour work week
We are working with a highly regarded, global law firm that is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy trial and litigation team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to litigation attorneys
- Draft, format, proofread, and revise complex legal documents, including pleadings, correspondence, and discovery materials
- Prepare and manage tables of contents and tables of authorities
- File documents in state and federal courts, including e‑filing
- Maintain attorney calendars, including court deadlines, hearings, depositions, and meetings
- Assist with trial preparation and coordination
- Support case management, including organizing files and maintaining records
- Coordinate travel arrangements and process expense reports
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, client correspondence, and reporting
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant or legal secretary
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and e‑filing systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with document management systems such as iManage or File Site
- Exceptional proofreading, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage competing priorities
- High level of professionalism and discretion with confidential information
