Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Estate Planning Proofreader and Office Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and proofreading estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and other related legal materials, ensuring a high level of quality and professionalism that our clients expect. In addition to proofreading, you will provide administrative support to the office manager, assisting with the smooth operation of the office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to grow their skills in a professional and supportive environment. This position requires the employee to work in the office 5 days a week in Irvine, California.

Key Responsibilities:

· Proofread estate planning documents for accuracy in grammar, punctuation, spelling, formatting, and legal consistency.

· Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to address any unclear language or formatting issues.

· Provide administrative support to the office manager and other team members.

· Assist with office organization and day-to-day tasks to ensure smooth operations.

· Help with event planning and coordination, as needed.

· Handle special projects, as assigned by the office manager.

· Provide back up phone support as needed.

Qualifications:

· Excellent proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant experience (preferred).

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

· Previous experience in proofreading or office administration is a plus but not required.

· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

· Able to work independently.
