Probate & Estate Planning Paralegal
The firm is a Sugar Land boutique firm focused on practicing estate planning, asset protection, probate, guardianship, and elder law.
The mission is to provide excellent legal work in the context of a caring environment. We are seeking a full-time experienced paralegal willing to work on-site five days a week, with at least five years of experience assisting attorneys in the areas of estate planning and probate.
Experience in guardianship, elder law, and business incorporation is a plus.
Job Requirements
Minimum of five years of experience in the areas of estate planning and probate.
Excellent proficiency in computer skills, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and navigating a server.
Experience using WealthDocx, ElderDocx and Clio is preferred.
Excellent grammar and writing skills.
Experience assisting attorneys with guardianship, elder law, and business incorporation is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities Will Include Preparing
drafts of estate planning and probate documents for the attorneys, such as estate planning answer files,
drafts of Wills and Trust Agreements, ancillary documents, probate applications, motions, notices, and inventories,
filing pleadings and hearing documents, communications with court staff and clients, preparing correspondence, and meeting with clients to notarize, witness and sign documents.
