Legal Assistant / Personal Assistant / Property Manager (DFW Metroplex)

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Assistant Duties:

• Maintain organized electronic case files.

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

• Draft first versions of documents, including discovery requests/responses, pleadings, and correspondence.

• Docket and track trial deadlines.

• Prepare documents for production, including creating single PDFs from multiple files and Bates labeling.

• File court documents electronically.

• Prepare exhibits and trial notebooks.

• Bill time for paralegal-type duties.

• Book expenses that are client or case-specific.

Property Management Duties:

• Manage short-term rental listings across multiple properties using state-of-the-art software integrating Airbnb and VRBO.

• Maintain and build relationships with service providers (housekeepers, handymen, etc.), ensuring reliable backup options.

• Respond to guest inquiries within an hour, including after-hours emergencies.

• Troubleshoot property issues—many are user errors, but some require coordinating urgent repairs.

• Communicate with long-term tenants in additional properties.

• Work with a social media manager to grow the brand.

• Maintain a profit and loss spreadsheet, carefully tracking expenses and revenue.

Personal Assistant Duties:

• Provide ad hoc assistance, including researching medical providers, coordinating pet sitting, booking travel, and other tasks as needed.
